A Little About Me
I graduated with a B.S degree in Animal Science from Purdue University in 2012. This degree could really just be called the degree for people who want to know everything about animals as it covered topics from breeding genetics to the food industry. I also was able to take classes in the Forestry department for wildlife ecology and wetland ecology. My masters in Biology came from the University of Kentucky where I focused on Evolutionary Biology and spent some time at a equine diagnostic center where we performed various testing for diseases. From here I found a job working in a stem cell therapy and transplant research group at the University of Louisville. I realized throughout all my education and experiences, I was constantly wanting to teach and develop teaching/training modules. A wonderful friend told me about alternative certification programs and I found one at the University of Louisville. I finished my second masters in May 2017 in Education. I look forward to bringing in my research and industry experience into the classroom as well as sharing all the amazing things about science I have learned over the years!
Currently I live in Louisville with my husband and two spoiled rotten dogs (pictured right). I cannot wait to start the year and meet everyone! Please feel free to contact me anytime! Go Chargers! Amanda Bohnert |
